Newburgh, Indiana · Since Day One

Our Story.

grilled with fire, served with pride.

How it started

One idea, one grill,
a whole lot of smoke.

Steak and Take Grill started with one idea: a steakhouse plate shouldn't take a reservation and a second mortgage. So we built a menu around the grill — filets, ribeyes, NY strips, pork chops, chicken and fresh catch, seared over real flame and served the way a grill house should serve them.

Everything off the grill comes with your choice of side and garlic bread, no upcharge for treating you right. Round it out with loaded steak fries, a stuffed portobella, or a platter big enough to share — this is Newburgh's grill, built for people who came here to eat.

What's in a name

The steak. The take.

it's right there on the sign.

The "Steak" is the easy part — hand-cut, hand-seasoned, cooked exactly the way you ask, over fire. No shortcuts, no heat lamps.

The "Take" is the promise: dine in for the full experience, or gourmet carry-out done right. Either way you get the same big portions, the same garlic bread, the same sides. Supper at our table or yours — we're not picky, as long as you're fed.

What we stand for

The house rules.

written in char, not in stone.

01

Real fire, real flavor

Open flame is the whole point. That deep, smoky char doesn't come from a flat-top or a fryer — it comes from cooking over fire, every single plate.

02

Generous by default

Side and garlic bread with every grill entree. Salad and garlic bread with every pasta. Nobody leaves hungry.

03

Made to order

Fresh ingredients, cooked when you order them — not before. If it takes a few extra minutes, that's the fire doing its job.

04

Newburgh first

We're a neighborhood grill, not a chain. Your server knows the menu because they eat it. Tell your friends — we'll save y'all a table.
